1.
Pear shaped wild animals crawling up the walls. Church stained glass eyeballs govern visual laws. Clocks running backwards through unexplainable happenings. Slidding ddown wormholes through surreal surroundings. Shock hits, crack eye lids open, scramble across the duvet and silence the commotion. Cold skin of morning, slither out the nest in autopilot and confusion. Equestrian arrows blanket the sky and rain down on her body like knives. Pushing through the cobwebs again. Ankles tangled up in the sheets. A slippery game of tog of war with this biological factory. My siren becomes a part of the dream. Then eerily the grim truth sinks in. Procrastinate the hour glass until your forced to rise and begin. Get on your horse. Equestrian arrows blanket the sky and rain down on her body like knives.

Too passive to be the predator Let me be the prey. Ladies first, please Cast your line out. Catch me out hook in mouth.

The Mate 04:56
The mate, a great demand in our society. Oh the holy matrimony. But wait, have we lost touch with something inside? do you feel off or out of place without the husband or bride. Are you scared of the silence in the room. Do you feel uncomfortable seeing everyone tied in twos? If you do then maybe it's time you got intimate with you. Don't get me wrong I'd still like to have someone who's mine But without someone There is no need to feel incomplete. This is hard for me to see. Too passive to be the predator Let me be the prey. Ladies first, please Cast your line out Catch me out hook in mouth The date, Unveil the bate, feed the biology. Rarely lonely, mostly hungry. You wade, Through sleepy conversation turn a blind ear And let the hunt begin. When you swim hide your fin. Ladies first, please Cast your line out Catch me out hook in mouth

Memory like a fish hanging from a weed. I wish I could remember how to land. Lost my footing climbing in the wind Now sinking in the cold quicksand. An unbalanced signal is what I omit. I wish I could speak fluently enough to express myself. I wish I could stop wishing for dreams and know only now. There's so much I don't understand about myself. I can't even say what I want to say. My mind says yes, my mouth says nothing and my heart sighs again. My excitement has built a wall for itself. Now nothing gets out and nothing gets in. Left my laces open, now I'm falling over my feet. You start off with a sentence and you end up with a mouth full of words. Can't get my point across cause my bridges always crumble . Lax motivation for communication has crippled my words. I can't even say what I want to say. My mind says yes, my mouth says nothing and my heart sighs again. My excitement has built a wall for itself Now nothing gets out and nothing gets in.

Brick Ticker 05:30
Son you've done some splendid cardial masonary work on yourself. I'd like to remark on the diverse ways in which you've torn your heart apart. You start like a child by scibbling imaginary lines in the sand In order to border off your imaginary land Stick flags in the ground with your chest out proud now. Beat down those with the same blood and bones that lie under your skin How your minds thin And your heads so thick It makes me sick, but it's true that to think we're different just makes me you. And I don't wanna be you. I just wanna be free. But to be free I must see you are a reflection of me. I really want to hate you now But then I'm you abd we just go round. I really hope you see how blinded we can be by our own beliefs. Our beliefs. The strange thing is that these demented demonic division preachers are my best teachers, They teach me how to be a better person. Even tho our opinions stand in polar opposite positions We're the same species, The only difference is in our beliefs. Beat down those with the same blood and bones that lie under your skin How your minds thin And your heads so thick And your heart's black and blue But to think we're different tears us in two. And I don't wanna be you. I just wanna be free. But to be free I must see you are a reflection of me. I really want to hate you now But then I'm you abd we just go round. I really hope you see how blinded we can be by our own beliefs.

Don't stop swimming or you'll end up dead. Keep your eyes only in the back of your head. I'm walking forward and looking back. Answers are questions and we are elastic bands. Solutions are eels that slip right through our hands. The night turns blue and the day begins. An observational duet was sung til seven. Walking forward and looking back. I'm looking back.

Temet Nosce 06:14
Twist boa like around this protruding blister of mind until the skin cracks and allows the poison to surface. Make the hidden visible while it is still tangible, don't let it dry and settle in long forgotten crevasses. You wouldn't want to ignore your skeletal closet just pry the doors open, don't deny these moulding memories. Try to remove these ominous elements while benign not malignant. Eradicate sprouting weeds. To uproute and dissect this cocoon you must dive deep, stop paddling in the shallow end. Wake up and smell the silence beneath your feet. Not everything is thinking. Some things are easier said than done. It's hard to relax and give in to the venom. We struggle and fight because we are frightened of being hurt And so we deny what we have become. Temet nosce Know thy self You have got to know thy self Cause there isn't much else

Head Hurdle 05:14
We talk in tongues that's all we do, Aguing over points of view. Questions, answers, self pity and pride. Is there any chance of peace of mind? Two agree one belief is true When ones red is the others blue. We think differently and that's life. Is there anything not touched by mind? Word hurdle verbal dribble Your missing out on this only moment From listening to analytical thoughts That have read aload in your head A cloud is your head When your happy be happy Life is short and some day you'll be dead

Sagittarius 05:20
There's something special in that rolling water drop. Sacred sleeping treasures awake and rise to the top. The shaking lip The holy ache Salty cheeks Earth on wood In time this drip creates a lake There's diamonds hiding in the mud. Grounded firmly in the absence Become human in the lose. Strong faces turn into children There's a heart beneath the moss. Strangers turn into family and a light returns to eyes. Love melts everything it touches There's a beauty in goodbyes shamelessly exposed and open and vulnerable Judges defragment user the weight Homemade masks crumble. The naked heart The spiral dive Melancholy finds its host The end of breath and body heat The living now becomes a ghost. Grounded firmly in the absence Become human in the loss Strong faces turn into children There's a heart beneath the moss Strangers turn into family and a life returns to eyes Love melts everything it touches There's a beauty in goodbyes

about

lamp Cork, Ireland

Lamp are a curious sort. Angular guitars, irregular timings, progressive rock sensibilities and monster riffs. Finding a neat definition or genre with which to categorise the band is a challenging prospect.

The band create as sonically dense an output as possible through the use of low tunings and sub-octave guitar pedals. The resultant effect has come to be LAMP’s almost signature sound.
